MGL Avionics RDAC-CAN modules for Rotax 912is and all UL Power engines.  


 

We have RDAC CAN modules that cater for the Rotax 912iS / 915iS engine and the UL Power range of engines.

 

RDAC CAN modules can be used with Odyssey/Voyager G2/G3 EFIS systems, the XTreme EFIS and EMS as well as all iEFIS systems.

 

The RDAC CAN module connects to the EFIS CAN bus and the CAN bus of an engine ECU system.

Within the UK we normally dispatch using Royal Mail or DHL. You choose the level of service at checkout.

VAT sales tax (20%) is included in the price displayed on the website. This tax applies to UK customers and EU customers. It will continue to apply to customers in the 27 EU member states from 1 January 2021. This is because we are located in Northern Ireland. The Northern Ireland Protocol, agreed by the EU to facilitate cross border trade with the Irish Republic after Brexit, also applies to the rest of the EU.  We continue to charge the UK rate of vat to customers in the 27 EU member states and there is no further tax to pay upon delivery. We can continue to zero rate the vat for EU business customers who enter their vat number at checkout. 

Customers outside the EU do not pay vat and the tax will be removed at checkout. Local import taxes may apply - check with your local authority.

Currency. All products are priced in Pound Sterling (GBP, £). Using the "Currency" tab you can change the displayed currency to either Euro (EUR, €) or US Dollar (USD, $). This is an indicative exchange rate, automatically updated daily and is based upon the prevailing bank rate. The price you see may be displayed in USD or EUR but payment processing will be conducted in GBP. This means that your card issuer will apply their usual exchange rate, which is likely to be different from our indicative rate. 

The RDAC CAN module can be used with Odyssey/Voyager G2/G3 EFIS systems, the XTreme EFIS and EMS as well as all iEFIS systems.

The RDAC CAN module connects to the EFIS CAN bus and the CAN bus of an engine ECU system.

The RDAC-CAN Rotax caters for the Rotax 912iS engine which has two ECU systems and uses the CAN Aerospace data format.

The RDAC CAN connects to both data lanes of the Rotax 912iS (ECU A and ECU B) and continues to provide engine data from lane B in case of a lane A data failure depending on user selection of the DIP switches.

The RDAC CAN can be configured as "lane exclusive" - in this mode it can be fixed to a particular lane of the Rotax 912iS. The RDAC CAN emulates RDAC 1 (Lane A) and RDAC 2 (lane B). For twin engine applications, RDACs 3 and 4 can be emulated in similar fashion.

The RDAC CAN further provides two fuel level sender inputs, one fuel pressure sender input and a current sensor input.

The fuel level sender inputs are compatible with resistance fuel senders but can also be used with any fuel level sender that can provide a DC output in the 0-3V range (internal pull-up resistors used for the resistance level senders can be switched off).

The current sensor input is for a system that provides a zero current voltage of 2.5V with a range of 2.5V above/below this value such as the MGL Magnetic Current sensor.

The fuel pressure sender input accepts a 0-5V or 0.5-4.5V sender input range. We have a suitable 100 psi sender that can be used.

UL Power

 

The RDAC CAN module can be used with Odyssey/Voyager G2/G3 EFIS systems, the XTreme EFIS and EMS as well as all iEFIS systems.

The RDAC CAN module connects to the EFIS CAN bus and the CAN bus of an engine ECU system.

The RDAC-CAN-ULPower  caters for the  UL Power range of engines which have two ECU systems and uses the CAN Aerospace data format as well as a RS232 interface.

The RDAC CAN connects to both ECUs of the UL Power engine (ECU A and ECU B) and continues to provide engine data from lane B in case of a lane A data failure depending on user selection of the DIP switches.

The RDAC CAN can be configured as "lane exclusive" - in this mode it can be fixed to a particular lane of the UL Power engine. The RDAC CAN emulates RDAC 1 (ECU A) and RDAC 2 (ECU B). For twin engine applications, RDACs 3 and 4 can be emulated in similar fashion.

The RDAC CAN also provides a RS232 interface that can be used with UL Power engines that do not provide a CAN interface. For engines that provide both CAN and RS232 both may be connected providing extra redundancy.

The RDAC CAN further provides two fuel level sender inputs and a current sensor input.

The fuel level sender inputs are compatible with resistance fuel senders but can also be used with any fuel level sender that can provide a DC output in the 0-5V range (internal pull-up resistors used for the resistance level senders can be switched off).
